Just curious.... does New Year's Eve sound and smell like a war zone there? Are there buck toothed yokels blasting their S&W 686 .357 magnum hand cannons and the like off into the air.... there? Mighty fine pistolas, but not for NYE. Are there bans on fireworks there in NH? I'm only asking because of a mutual friend in southern La. who says it is ridiculous there, with repeated obvious shots into the air, to land who knows through who's house.
We do have one idiot neighbor who uses every holiday as an excuse to blast the neighborhood with (illegal) fireworks. Last night, he began at 7:00 pm. sending our dogs and horses into frenzied distress. So, not guns per se, but the need to blow something up in "celebration."
I should add: today has started out peacefully enough, with the Rose Parade on HGTV, and looking forward to the Rose Bowl this afternoon (Go Stanford!).
All the best for the New Year to you and yours, Hump!
Mostly quiet on the western front (near Seattle WA - And yes our city has firework bands, although there were some distant booms from unincorporated King county a few miles east of us).
PLEASE READ: Love it /hate it feel free to comment on it. Smart phone/ Iphones don't interface well with "blogspot", please..use your computer. Comments containing bad religious poems (they're all bad, trust me), your announcement of your engagement to Jesus (yeah,I've seen 'em), mindless religious babble, your made up version of Christian doctrine, and death threats are going to be laughed at and deleted. Thanks! Hump

ReplyDeleteI guess every state and neighborhood has it's assholes. I imagine we've just been lucky. Stanford is bullying these poor Iowa boys. I love it ;)
