FLASH: The Catholic Church Steps Up to the Plate on Ending Clergy Child Abuse. LOL ... Just Kidding!!!

In case you didn't hear, the Catholic Church's commission and advisory board to the pope on ending clergy sexual abuse of children has made a major stride in fixing the problem that has plagued this cabal of sex perverts and hypocrites for centuries. The whole story here.

This intensive plan that will no doubt flush the child molesting priests and bishops out of their ranks once and for all is pretty much summarized in this one sentence:

"Following a week of meetings in Rome, the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors announced several new initiatives, including a training program for bishops and a day of prayer for victims of sex abuse."Hey, don't scoff. At least it's better than the all too telling quote by Bishop Robert Cunningham last year as shown under his photo above.

Yup... it's been a long time coming, but there it is: training and prayer. Bam!  Why didn't I think of that?  I'm sure this will come as a welcome sea change to the tens of thousands of victims left in wake of the deaf, dumb, blind, sick, and utterly ludicrous Catholic Church. I for one am glad THAT's over.

  1. Way to go catholic church! And right after Mother T has been declared a saint - so much progress...
My heart goes out to all the abused victims of this church (as well as victims of all other religions). I hope those who have suffered find peace, and for their sake only, the ability to forgive their tormentors.

  2. Training and Prayer..... well that's that then, problem solved.

It would be laughable if the whole thing didn't sicken me to the core.

Just further evidence that the overseers of the Catholic Cult simply do not believe at heart that there is or has been any problem at all.

  3. This pile of manure tries to say he is sorry. How the fuck does he even try to explain it away http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2015/09/syracuse_bishop_on_2011_my_words_gave_the_wrong_impression_to_victims_of_child-m.html

  4. If there was a God, and if there was something called a sin for lying, and if a hell really existed... that bishop would already be doing the backstroke in a lake of fire by now.

  5. I know it's been a while since you've maintained this blog, but I enjoyed your commentary on the Catholic Church and there is a comment I wanted to present to your readers.

Recently, the once highest ranking leader of the Catholic Church in Australia, George Pell was convicted of paedophilia. He was convicted of sex crimes against underaged boys and is currently in prison.

I am dumbfounded by the support George Pell is receiving from high profile members of our community. It just says something about the insidious influence the Catholic Church has upon its followers. There has been a lot of media publicity regarding George Pell over the last few years, and the media must be careful about how it presents the allegations against these people.

It's about protecting innocence until proven guilty and why the reports must be alleged until the facts have been established.

But once a criminal has been literally convicted, the fact that some of the highest profile people in this country are still defending the character of George Pell just says to me how insidious the influence of the Catholic Church is in protecting itself.

The Catholic Church has not committed to excommunicating George Pell. There have been defensive statements made that have been intended to diminish the extent of his crimes by describing them as minor sexual offences.

Rape is one of the most heinous crimes that can be committed. Pell has been convicted of rape against minors that are not capable of giving consent in any circumstance if paedophillia is no longer a strong enough term to get the message through.

I don't want to mention the names of people who are defending his character here, but we are talking about some of the most significant figures in this country's history. People who have achieved extraordinary outcomes for this nation who are destroying their credibility by supporting the character of a paedophile and those in honesty who have achieved nothing and have no credibility to destroy.

It just says something to me about how powerful the influence of a discredited and exposed institution such as the Catholic Church can be.
