Hump, you are old enough and in the era when Barry McGuire generated "Eve of Destruction". As a soldier, had to piss you off. But now it needs an update: "Don of Destruction"....lyrics won't change much.

it's not that he can pass a law or sign an exec. order...that's not the issue. The issue is this legitimizes beating or shooting those who would burn a flag in protest by Trump's mindless right wing "Patriots"...just as his rhetoric has emboldened anti-Islamic and anti-Black, and even anti-Jewish sentiment and actions all over the country.
The damage has been done..and there is no taking it back. More of this will happen. It fits the pattern for distraction from his ineptitude at governance, his political failings and his reneged promises to his base.
